Founded in 1947 by Laurie Dale originally in Warren Street as a piano retailer mainly selling wax cylinders, Laurie ran the store up until his passing at the age of 93 and was known locally as “Mr. Tenby” for always being a performer on his stool outside of Dales, he would often be spotted playing his instruments entertaining the community. since his passing Dales has been taken over by the family and has become beloved and revolutionised as a pop culture retailer as well as a record and instrument store, offering a wide variety and versatility.
